• Lower and turn head to one side to keep air way open and decrease

risk of aspiration

• Call for help

• Protect patient from injury by using side rails

• Administer O2 to increase fetal oxygenation

• Notify physician at the first sign of convulsive activity

After the seizure :

• Check Bl. pressure and fetal heart rate

• Assess urine for Protein

• Assess signs, which may indicate the start of labour

• Start an IV line as soon as possible and monitor it

• Notify attending physician

2. Intrapartum intervention

Indication of delivery:-

• Delivery is indicated for the following reasons :-

• Deterioration of fetal well-being

• In effective treatment in improving the disease

• Eclampsia or its warning signs

Route of delivery:-

• Vaginal delivery

C.S if → Labor not begin after induction

→ Vaginal delivery is contra indicated

→ The fetus weights less than 1500g.
