Pizza Dough

Ingredients:
2½-3 cups flour
1 pkg rapid rise yeast
½ tsp salt
1 cup very warm water (115-125°F)
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 Tbsp corn meal
toppings of choice
In large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, yeast and salt.
Mix water and oil. Mix with flour. Add additional
flour stirring until dough pulls away from sides of
bowl. Knead 4-6 minutes until smooth elastic. Cover
with bowl. Let rest 10 minutes on lightly floured
surface. Roll out dough in 2 portions to fit 2 2" pizza
pans. Let rise 30 minutes. Add sauce, toppings,
cheese. Bake at 400°F for 20-25 minutes or until
crust is golden brown.
Our favorite toppings are ground beef browned and
drained. Sautéed onions mixed with beef and
Italian seasonings, pepperoni, mushrooms,
mozzarella cheese, 4 oz tomato sauce or spaghetti
sauce for pizza.
My grandkids and I have made pizza together since
they've been big enough to stand on a chair at the
cabinet and knead dough. They really like doing the
toppings too and of course eating pizza. Our friends
and neighbors' kids and grandkids like to help too.
