Coconut Crunch Cookies

                                    Ingredients:

                                    1 cup butter, softened
                                    ¾ cup sugar
                                    ¾ cup packed brown sugar
                                    2 eggs
                                    2 tsp vanilla flavor
                                    1 tsp almond flavor
                                    2 cups flour
                                    1 tsp baking soda
                                    ¾ tsp salt
                                    2 cups flaked coconut
                                    1 pkg milk chocolate chips
                                    1½ cups finely chopped almonds

                                    Cream butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and flavors.
                                    Mix flour, salt, soda and gradually add to creamed
                                    mixture. Mix well. Stir in coconut, chips and
                                    almonds. Drop by rounded teaspoon 2" apart on
                                    ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375°F for 9-11
                                    minutes. Yield: 4 ½ dozen.
