CTE Grant Funding Update

The district is continuing to provide financial support to the CTE programs through the state
CTEI grant and the Federal Perkins grant. The funds for the 2020-21 school year provide support
to CTE teachers by providing professional development for reading and math strategies within
their curriculum. Our reading specialists and math teachers are collaborating with our CTE
teachers to complete this work.
As we work our way through the pandemic, CTE teachers have requested funds to provide “at-
home” kits so students can engage in the hands-on activities from their homes. The Robotics
and Culinary students were provided these kits.
Funds are also used to purchase the curriculum and assessments associated with the
certifications for the Business, Applied Tech, Culinary, and Health Science courses. Additional
funds were also used to purchase consumables and other equipment needed to support
earning the credentials.
