Information Technology
The Information Technology Department has implemented a Technology support help desk plan
that provides students and parents access to a dedicated support staff member. Parents or students
that are experiencing issues with devices or any other technology-related issues, can either call the
support number or email us and we will respond and resolve the issue within 24 hours. Also,
parents or students can schedule an in-person appointment to have their issues resolved.
The installation of the Scholarchip scanners is completed at both the FAC and STEM. All
instructional classrooms and large meeting areas are now equipped with a reader to record student
attendance. Soon, the system will be finalized and professional development will be provided to our
staff.
Two additional Internet Service Provider circuits were installed at the FAC campus to support the
increased demand for wired and wireless connectivity. Currently, each campus has two dedicated
circuits for Internet access. Additionally, a wireless site survey was conducted the week of
September 21 and September 28 to determine any deficiencies in coverage at both campuses. The
result of the survey will be shared the week of October 12. We will use this data to determine if
additional access points are needed.
The Access Control software to the cloud has been migrated to the cloud. This migration will
improve access to the campuses and also provide administrators a better secure method to access
the system.
The Technology Department will continue to work with our Special Education Department to
implement the Laserfiche software that will allow us to scan and digitize student records.
