Abstract The idea behind the vibration monitoring system is to collect data from multiple
sensors installed on structures to process and extract useful information about the facility's
current state for maintenance and safety purposes. The essential perception of the new era is
the prospect empower by IoT to collect accurate monitoring data over and enable the worker
to make a real-time response to the physical devices in a machine or system. In this research,
the main focus of the study is the road condition that has been the main contributor to the
chassis frame condition. Every chassis frame condition depends significantly on the road
conditions. The lack of understanding of automotive frame behavior during dynamic loading
leads to inefficient design and decreases lifespan and vehicle safety. Study on automobile frame
vibration with the aid of machine learning has been done before. However, this study was
limited to simulation and not yet experimented directly at vehicles during the driving state in
the local road. The data validity is still questionable, whereas, in many applications, the
automobile frame faces rough terrains or uneven road conditions as in the rural area. Thus,
there is a need to design an online data capture for monitoring vibration during the driving
state. The data analysis from the experiment will visualize the road terrain that affects the
chassis frame condition. This analysis can be used to monitor chassis frame conditions from
time to time.
