Abstract Cylinder head is a component in an internal combustion engine that sit above the
cylinder on top of the cylinder block. Through out the history of internal combustion engine,
there are various design of cylinder head but it function in an internal combustion engine is still
the same. The focus of is this project is to redesign the current cylinder head of Yamaha rxz.
One of the main problem of the current cylinder head for the motorcycle is that the original one
is prone to crack at the spark plug area. Besides that the original cylinder head also takes longer
time to cooldown. So the main focus of this project is to overcome this weakness by creating a
cylinder head that have better heat flow and strength. In order to achieve this, the amount of
cooling fins on the cylinder head has been increase. And to increase the cylinder head strength,
the material and its fabrication process have been changed compared to the original ones.
Furthermore, a CAD model was created in order to help to conduct thermal analysis.
