Abstract In the present scenario, transportation is one of the primary priorities for individuals
as transportation of goods or private transportation from one place to another. Transportation
is a significant challenge for people where the modified motorcycle with two additional wheels
attached to the rear part of the vehicle. It is highly unstable during cornering, resulting in
increase in accidents due to the slippage and rollover of the motorcycle. The main purpose of
this study is to design and develop a functional mock-up of a three-wheel motorcycle that
incorporates a new suspension and tilting mechanism. The designing process of the conceptual
designs will be combined to reach a main conceptual design that meets criteria, then realized
into the embodiment design. There are three criteria of movement, components, and cost in
achieving this research's objective. The static analysis that analyses the design clearly shows
that the final design comes with adequate results that meet rider use's safety factor. This
mechanism of linking the absorber between swing arm and chassis has proven to give results
of durability, strength, reduce lateral acceleration felt during cornering and ensure comfort
while riding.
