• Mr James Soh Nga Kok, Executive Director and full-time staff since 1991. The Executive Director
was the Founding Member and holds vast knowledge and network essential for the
Association's future development.
• Ms Aileen Yap Leng Lee, Deputy Executive Director and full-time staff since 1993. Ms Yap, too,
was the Founding member and holds good knowledge of the Association and its operation and
development.

• There is no paid staff, being a close member of the family relating to the Executive Director. No
governing Council Member of the Association has received remuneration exceeding $50,000
during the financial year. NYAA Governing Council Members do not receive any compensation
except for the two full-time staff.
National Council Meetings 2023 & Annual General Meeting 2023
Three meetings, an AGM and an Extraordinary General Meeting (EOGM), were held in 2023 with
23 Council Members and one representative from the People's Association. At the AGM, two
Members, Mr Alec Ang Swee Nam and Mr Sunny Chan Han Tiong, stepped down, while two new
members, Mr Roddy Mu Liguo and Mr Argus Ang Wei Kwang, were elected as Members of the
AGM held on 20 June 2023. Dr Eugene Seah Hsiu-Min was elected Chairman, and Mr Bryan Tan
Suan Tiu was elected Deputy Chairman on 20 June 2023 for two years.
