NYAA AWARD CEREMONY
• NYAA Silver and Gold Award Ceremony in
Prison
On 29 November 2023, more than 80 young
offenders received the NYAA Gold and Silver Awards
at Changi Prison. The awards were presented by Mr
Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and
Youth, and Second Minister for Law. This ceremony
highlights how the NYAA Programme has positively
impacted the lives of young offenders, inspiring hope
for a better future.
NYAA ADVISORY BOARD
Mr Guy Harvey-Samuel, former Chairman of HSBC
Singapore, stepped down from his role as a Member
of the NYAA Advisory Board and Chairman of
the Board of Trustees. His service, particularly in
environmental sustainability, has been marked by
distinction and dedication to the NYAA movement.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister
for Economic Policies, and the NYAA Advisory Board
Chairman, Mr Heng Swee Keat, expressed gratitude
to Mr Guy Harvey-Samuel for his leadership and
contributions.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr
Jimmy Toh, Chief Executive Director of the People’s
Association, to the NYAA Advisory Board. DPM
Heng welcomed Mr Toh and presented him with the
Certificate of Appointment.
