GRASSROOT LEADERSHIP CONTRIBUTIONS & RECOGNITION

NYAA takes pride in the active contributions of many Gold Award holders who serve in public sectors, uniformed
organisations, and communities across Singapore.

• Public Service and Community Awards
In 2023, the Ten Year Community Long Service
Award honoured Mr Roddy Mu, Managing Director
of Wanhe International Pte Ltd, an NYAA Gold
Award holder (2002), and a dedicated member
of the Clementi Division, Jurong GRC. Dr Tan Wu
Meng, Member of Parliament for Clementi Division,
Jurong GRC, presented this prestigious recognition,
celebrating Mr Mu’s decade-long commitment to
community service.

• Annual Constituency & Workplace Long
Service Award 2023
Mr Kenneth Wong, Lecturer with ITE College
Central and an NYAA Gold Award holder (2004)
and a grassroots leader received the Fifteen Year
Community Long Service Award from Mr Edwin Tong,
Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and
Second Minister for Law and Member of Parliament
for Joo Chiat Division in 2023.

• Yuhua Ward CCMC Appointment Ceremony
2023

Mr Desmond Chong, Head of Risk Management,

Mastercard Asia Pacific and an NYAA Gold Award

holder (1998) was appointed a Member of the

Yuhua Community Club Management Committee

by Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the

Environment and Member of Parliament for
Yuhua SMC in 2023.
• Radin Mas SMC Outstanding Service Award
2023
LTC Lim En, Deputy Director (Policy and Operations
Planning) Ministry of Defence and an NYAA Gold
Award holder(2007) and Chairperson, Radin Mas
Youth Network received the Radin Mas Constituency
Outstanding Service Award 2023 from Mr Melvin
Yong, Member of Parliament for Radin Mas SMC in
2023.
