50th St. Gallen Symposium Singapore Hub

            Singapore was very honoured to host the 50th St.
            Gallen Symposium Singapore Hub for the first time
            outside  Switzerland  in  May  2021.  In  addition,  Mr
            Tommy  Koh  Kit  Shaun,  Assistant  Director,  ASEAN
            Division,  Ministry  of  Trade  and  Industry  and  an
            NYAA Gold Awardee, was appointed as Chairman of
            the St. Gallen Symposium Singapore Chapter of the
            Leaders of Tomorrow at the event.


            Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Transport, graced the
            Singapore Hub. Federal Councillor of Switzerland, Ms
            Karin Keller-Sutter, graced the St. Gallen Symposium     Mr Tommy Koh, NYAA Gold Awardee.
            in  Switzerland.  Speakers  from  Singapore  include
            former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr George Yeo,
            Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Culture,
            Community and Youth, Mr Alvin Tan and Member
            of  Parliament  for  Holland-Bukit  Timah  GRC,  Mr
            Edward  Chia,  an  NYAA  Gold  Award  holder  (2004
            Cohort), and a leader of Tomorrow of the St. Gallen
            Symposium together with thought leader and many
            corporate chiefs in Singapore.

               MOU Signing between Surbana Jurong and the Institute of Technical Education



            Mr  Eugene  Seah,  Managing  Director,  Surbana
            Technologies and an NYAA Gold Award holder (1995
            Cohort), played a crucial role in the partnership and
            collaboration  between  Surbana  Jurong  and  the
            Institute of Technical Education.


            A  vital  component  of  the  partnership  focused  on
            the training of ITE students in Engineering and Info-
            Communications,  Technology  including  Artificial
            Intelligence  (A.I.),  Building  Information  Modelling
            (BMI),  Data  Engineering,  Digitalisation,  Facility
            Management, Digital Asset Monitoring and Mixed
            Virtual Reality. Mr Wong Heang Fine, Group Chief
            Executive Officer, Surbana Jurong and Ms Low Khah
            Gek, Chief Executive Officer of ITE, signed the MOU
            on 10 May 2021.


            The  MOU  will  facilitate  the  advanced  national
            effort  to  transition  the  labour  intensive  facilities
            management industry to a higher-value, productive
            one  powered  by  data  analytics,  predictive
            maintenance and a smart nation.
