THINC Fellowship Programme
THINC a 12-month Fellowship Programme powered
by Tencent, the largest tech company in China. The
programme brought together a cross-disciplinary
community of 50 selected young talents worldwide to
spark conversations about technology and humanity
through virtual meetings and creative projects.
Lt-Col Lim En, Deputy Director (Policy and Operations
Planning), Ministry of Defence and NYAA Gold Award
holder (2007 Cohort), has been selected by NYAA and
Tencent to represent NYAA Singapore. THINC Fellow
will attend ten cross-disciplinary webinars about
technology and humanity to interact, share and get
inspired with a group of selected incredible young
talents. In addition, Tencent will invite the group to
attend the final programme at Tencent Headquarters
in Shenzen, Guangdong Province, China, in 2022.

NYAA Gold Award holder (2007 Cohort)
The International Swiss Talent Forum (ISTF), 2021
Swiss National Science Council organised and hosted
the International Swiss Talent Forum (ISTF). Each
year, the ISTF Organising Committee will select and
invite one outstanding university student from the
27 European Union Member Nations to Switzerland
for the International Swiss Talent Forum. NYAA’s
participation at the ISTF is an exception through
the invitation of the International Science Council,
Switzerland.
Ms Cassandra Yip, a second-year Environmental
Studies student from the National University of
Singapore and an NYAA Gold Award holder (2018
Cohort), represented Singapore at ISTF in 2019. Ms Yip
was featured as the Poster Girl for ISTF 2021 Forum. It
was an honour for Ms Yip to be chosen, as Singapore
was the only Asian nation invited to the International
Swiss Talent Forum.
