“NYAA is truly transformative as it constantly
pushes me to step out of my comfort zone and
shows me that I am stronger than I think I am. It
taught me that we can make a positive difference
in many people’s lives through grit, resilience and
tenacity, and teamwork with like-minded youths.”

Lieutenant Colonel Lim En Major Lim En

                                          Prudential Nutrition Programme

Ms Elaine Sam, a Community Investment Specialist
at Prudential Singapore and an NYAA Gold Awardee,
played a crucial role in a new initiative to provide
children from low-income families with proper
            nutritious food.

The Prudential Nutritious Food programme was
launched by Mr Dennis Tan, Chief Executive officer
of Prudential, in July 2021 and has benefitted
more than 1,300 low-income families. NYAA is
very encouraged that our Gold Awardees create an
impact and make a difference in society. Ms Elaine Sam, NYAA Gold Awardee

Dr Chen was interested in the scientific study of old
age and the process of ageing when he was an NYAA
participant. As a result, he volunteered his free time
helping the elderly. He is now an active member of
