EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN 2020

#WeStandVid You, Together We Can Overcome

#WeStandVidYou was an initiative by the NYAA Gold
Award Holders’ Alumni to get everyone involved
to show our appreciation and support to our
community during these trying times as we battle
the COVID-19 outbreak in Singapore. Young people
were encouraged to use their mobile phones or
cameras to express their appreciation, gratitude,
and encouragement to our frontline workers and
feature interviews with their classmates, friends,
or family members on the impact of COVID-19. In
addition, the video clips will be uploaded regularly
on social media to uplift the spirit of the local
community and foreigners who work or study in
Singapore and call their adopted country home.

The submission from schools, junior colleges, ITE,
polytechnics and universities was overwhelming.
NYAA shortlisted 30 video clips, and the judging
panel selected the national winners. CHIJ
Secondary (Toa Payoh) won the Frist Prize, St.
Anthony’s Canossian Secondary School won the
Second Prize, and Temasek Polytechnic won the
Third Prize.
