Decks/Railings
Color
• All metal elements of the railing must be black
• Wood top rail trim, cap board and railing support posts must be stained an approved deck stain color to
match the deck or painted/stained to match the approved house siding color
• Fascia boards (trim around deck floor) and vertical supports must be stained an approved deck stain color, to
match the approved housing siding color
• Underlying deck structural elements (such as floor joists) and deck surface planks may be left to weather
naturally
• Balcony railing of T1-11 siding, painted/stained to match house siding color, with black wrought iron top rail
Stipulations:
• All colored wood elements of the deck and railing must be painted/stained the same approved color
Decks Design
• Simple picket metal railing with metal or wood railing support posts
• Simple picket metal railing with metal or wood railing support posts and wide wood top rail trim and cap
board
• Simple picket metal railing with metal or wood railing support posts and narrow wood top rail trim and cap
board
• Simple picket metal railing with metal or wood railing support post and wood cap board
Upper Decks
• Rear upper level 12’ x 10’ deck (11034) approved with simple vertical picket wood railing, left to weather
naturally
• Not a Standard, on case-by-case basis only
