RIIWHS204E-Work safely at heights

ENSURE ALL REQUIRED EQUIPMENT IS INSTALLED

All equipment and safety systems must be installed, kept in place and regularly checked by
a competent person. Safety equipment is your life line. At all times, safety equipment needs
to stay in place while you work. If you need to install a new or different system, you must
keep the old equipment in place until the new equipment is ready to use.

If you are moving from one safety system to another, you need to ensure that there is a safe
position where you have access to both so you can secure yourself to the new system
before freeing yourself from the old one. This will ensure that you are safe at all points in
               time.

The user of the equipment is responsible for identifying, selecting, and checking
safety equipment while working at height.

COMPLYING WITH EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER’S INSTRUCTIONS AND
               SPECIFICATIONS

All inspections should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions
and specifications by a competent height safety equipment inspector. If the
manufacturer's instructions are more comprehensive than the standards – they take
               precedence.

Environmental aspects should also be considered while working. It is a duty of any
worker to stop work & report it to the supervisor as soon as possible if they notice
& believe that it can be an environmental issue.
