knot where the rope passes through a post.

CLIFF’S SAILING HARNESS
My friend Cliff gave me the pattern for this smart harness, which is easy
and inexpensive to make. The harness is light and takes up very little room
when not in use. Dacron works best for this; nylon tends to shrink and
harden with age and wetting.

25 feet (7.6 m) of ⅜-inch (9 mm)
three-strand Dacron rope
1 heavy-duty snaphook
Tape

Whipping twine and needle
