                                      CLEANING & AIR QUALITY

Q: When will cleaning occur for classrooms, high-traffic areas, and high-touch point areas?
A: Classrooms will be cleaned at various times during the day. Materials will be provided for teachers to
mist each desk with a cleaning solution and allow it to air dry during the day. Each evening classrooms
will be cleaned by the custodial staff. Additional training and professional development was provided to
the custodial staff. The custodial supervisor will monitor cleaning practices and protocols.

Q: How will technology be sanitized?
A: Technology devices will be cleaned by disinfectant wipes. Disinfectants used in the district are EPA

Q: What is the district doing to address the air quality across all classrooms and buildings?
The district is working with Tower Engineering and guidance from ASHRAE to manage mechanical
systems. Our buildings are based on an air change rate of between 5 - 7 times per hour. Actions include:

                   ● Adjust dampers on HVAC units to bring in more outside air during normal operations.
                   ● Run HVAC systems with a continuous fan and do not use nighttime setback settings.
                   ● Use economizer mode on available units to bring in fresh air during cooler times of the day.
