Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou art worthy,

O Lord, to receive glory and honour and

power: for thou hast created all things,

and for thy pleasure they are and were

created.” Mankind was created primarily

for God’s pleasure and for fellowship with

Him, so unknowingly to most pleasure-

seekers, nonstop involvement in activities

and entertainment is, in reality, a search

for the satisfying joy and fellowship with

God that Adam and Eve once enjoyed in

the Garden of Eden before their sin caused

a breach in that fellowship. And now, as a

result of that original sin, all humanity is

born with a sinful nature that is in rebellion

toward God and seeks happiness and

fulfillment in life from the things and
