often the harmless activities that once

excited the flesh can eventually lose their

“thrill” and it becomes necessary to seek

new activities that will produce a “high”

again, and many times those activities are

sinful and outside God’s boundaries of

righteousness and will reap painful

consequences. Hebrews 11:25 says that

there is pleasure in sin — but only for a

season. “Pay day” will come in this lifetime

for both Christians and non-Christians as

a result of indulging in carnal and sinful

pleasures. Galatians 6:8 says, “For he that

soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap

corruption…”

Rather than forsake sin and seek

fulfillment in our Creator, however, men,
