abundance of possessions and sometimes
from worldly and ungodly activities and
entertainment. And, sadly, many of these
same kinds of worldly activities and
pleasures have infiltrated our churches
and are sanctioned by them. But whether
those worldly activities are offered in a
church setting or in the secular world and
may appear to produce joy and happiness,
any joy that co-exists with worldliness is
not joy produced by God’s Holy Spirit. Joy
produced by God’s Holy Spirit is a “stand-
alone” joy and is not dependent upon
worldly incentives or carnal stimulation
and does not necessarily express itself by
loud laughter or noticeable exuberance.
