followed the Lord Jesus Christ until He got

down to speaking to them personally and

said that they must eat of His flesh and drink

of His blood. It says in that text that there

were certain disciples, that is, followers of

Jesus, who walked away and followed Him

no more.

I usually stay out of the debates even

among Independent Baptists because they're

always arguing, so I usually stay away from

that. But I get quite a few calls and quite a

few questions on this subject, and they ask,

“Have you ever addressed this?” and I tell

them that we’ve addressed it for 20-something

years here in this church, and I'll give them

references to messages. But I thought I
