— I don't like to use these terms because
the names have been tacked onto people.
But we'll talk about those who say they
believe in free grace, and we will refer to
them as “easy believism” for the sake of our
argument this morning, and they love to say
there's nowhere in the Bible where we're
told to repent of our sins in order to be
saved. Well, verse 19 in Acts chapter 3 says
to repent and be converted, and then verse
26 says, “Unto you first God, having raised
up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in
turning away every one of you from his” —
what? — “iniquities.” Iniquities have to do
with sin and rebellion and so forth. So here
in this chapter alone, verse 26 speaks of
turning from iniquity.
