that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified,

both Lord and Christ.”

Now, in Acts chapter 2 we have the first

sermon that is preached to the Jewish

people, and in chapter 10 we have the first

sermon that is preached to the Gentiles.

And notice the wording as we come to this.

The word “Lordship” means position or

authority of the Lord. It includes the idea of

dominion, authority, and the right to

govern. In 2 Corinthians chapter 4 and

verse 5, the apostle Paul said, “For we

preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the

Lord…” The word “Lordship” is a title for

deity, but it's much more than that. It

means ownership, master, to whom service
