situations. Although we may not be able to


               rejoice in the circumstances, we can always


               rejoice  in  the  Lord  knowing  that  He  is  in


               control and  is  able  to  either  change  the


               situation if it’s His will or give us strength to


               endure the emotional and/or physical pain.


               God tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that “There


               hath no temptation taken you but such as is

               common  to  man:  but  God  is  faithful,  who


               will not suffer you to be tempted above that


               ye are able; but will with the temptation also


               make a way to escape, that ye may be able


               to bear it.”




               The prophecy concerning Christ in verse 2 is


               a reminder that God offers salvation only to


               those with a humble and contrite spirit (Ps.


               34:18, 51:17, Isa. 57:15).  In the parable of the


               Pharisee and the publican in Luke 18, Jesus


               justified  the  publican  who  smote  upon  his
