Some Things I Don’t Agree With

I know that I’m treading on “sacred

ground” when I criticize church life and

church protocol — and I sincerely hope that

my critique does not apply to all

institutional churches — but from what I

have observed in the churches that I have

been involved in, many of the activities and

mandates have been the traditions and

programs of men and not the commandments

of God; and Jesus said to the Jewish

Pharisees and scribes in Mark 7:9, “Full

well ye reject the commandment of God,

that ye may keep your own tradition.”
