But the instructions in Hebrews 10:25 to

assemble together were given to some born-

again, likeminded Hebrew believers to

encourage them to continue to assemble

together separately from the old covenant

style of temple worship and temple

sacrifice. The command was not given to a

mixture of believers and nonbelievers. In

fact, nowhere in Scripture are believers

instructed to assemble together with the

unregenerate to worship God. God’s Word

teaches just the opposite. Second Corinthians

6:14 says, “Be ye not unequally yoked

together with unbelievers: for what fellowship

hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and

what communion hath light with darkness?”
