About Being a Grandmother
Epilogue
When we made our decision to move over five
hours from our son and his family and over three
hours from our daughter and her family in order
to worship and serve the Lord with likeminded
believers, God used Luke 14:26-33 in my life to
“push me over the edge” on such a life-changing
and difficult decision, especially verse 33 where
Jesus said, “So likewise, whosoever he be of you
that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be
my disciple.”
As much as I love my grandchildren and as
much as I would love to be remembered
favorably by them, my greatest desire is NOT to
be remembered as “fun-loving” or “cool” or a
grandmother who was a good cook and provided
a “good time” and enjoyable family get-togethers
for my grandchildren, but I want to b e
