About Being a Grandmother

he that loveth son or daughter more than me is

                                         not worthy of me.”

                                            Be Ye Separate

Because my husband and I are fundamentalist

and separatist Christians, we believe in

abstaining from “all appearance of evil” (1

Thess. 5:22), which would include the worldly

so-called “Christian” rock, hip/hop, and rap

music that is being promoted by many churches

today. Although we have been “accused” of

being legalistic, narrow, and pharisaical, we

believe that what we affiliate with as parents and

grandparents tells our children and grandchildren

that it’s okay. In other words, we condone what

we don’t rebuke and separate from. And

according to Romans12:2, identifying with the

ways (and the music) of the world is not “okay”

with God, and it’s my personal conviction that

God will withhold His Spirit and genuine

conversion and spiritual growth from these
