                                             (Psalm 15 & 16)

               Psalm 15 is a description of Christ-like

character. David sets some high standards

that will distinguish those who will dwell in

God’s “holy hill,” which is a reference to

Heaven. In his commentary on verse 1,

Charles Spurgeon says, “The first verse

(Psalm 15:1) asks the question; the rest of

the verses (Psalm 15:2-5) answer it.”

Although a believer is saved by faith alone in

the sacrifice of Christ as an atonement for

the penalty of his or her sins (Hell), that faith

begins with conviction of sin and repentance

initiated by God’s Holy Spirit and the

subsequent indwelling of God’s Spirit, which

will be evidenced by a changed life that

               progresses toward Christ-likeness. Philippians
