substitutionary death on the cross. Up until
that age of accountability, God does not
implement the penalty for sin (Hell).
Psalm 17
In Psalm 17 David’s heart is in a state of
perpetual prayer because of a deep awareness
of the wicked men who oppressed him and his
deadly enemies who encompassed him.
David compared those who were stalking him
with a young lion stealthily lurking in secret
places waiting for an opportunity to pounce
upon its prey. One can almost feel David’s
complete exhaustion from being relentlessly
pursued by his enemies and his feelings of
utter helplessness and total dependence on
the LORD’s intervention to save him from
certain destruction.
