condition of the heart in order to become a

true Christian, and God commands “all men

everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30). Psalm

34:18 declares, “The LORD is nigh unto them

that are of a broken heart; and saveth such

as be of a contrite spirit.” Without

repentance there can be no salvation. Jesus

said in Luke 13:5-6, “Except ye repent, ye

shall all likewise perish,” and Isaiah 55:7

declares, “Let the wicked forsake his way,

and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and
