No Substitutes




             At  the  moment  of  conversion,  God’s  Holy



             Spirit takes up residence within a person’s


             soul and begins to work in that person’s life



             to “will and to do of [God’s] good pleasure”


             (Phil. 2:13). Primarily, God’s “good pleasure”



             is that He be glorified through His children



             by our conversation and conduct as we grow


             in sanctification and become conformed to



             the  likeness  of  Christ.    First  Thessalonians



             4:3 says, “For this is the will of God, even


             your sanctification.”





             Second Timothy 3:12 tells us that “all that



             will  live  godly  in  Christ  Jesus  shall  suffer



             persecution,”  but  it  seems  that  most



             professing  Christians  will  do  anything  but
