holiness. And if God’s Holy Spirit is not at

work in a gathering because of compromise

and/or unresolved and unconfessed sin,

there will be nothing that happens for the

Kingdom of Heaven in spite of all the

activities and emotions aroused by the

“praise bands” and "worship leaders.”

There may be much emotion and emotional

responses to an invitation to “receive

Christ,” but unless the Holy Spirit empowers

God’s Word as it is proclaimed through

God’s obedient servants, there will be no

Spirit-wrought conviction of sin and

therefore no true conversion evidenced by

changed lives.
