live Godly in Christ and suffer persecution as
a result of that Godly living. In fact, much of
church activity today is designed as a means
of substituting activity as an expression of
spirituality rather than emphasizing growth
in Godliness in our personal lives as an
expression of true spirituality, and this way
of thinking is reinforced by praising and
exalting those who are involved in these
many religious activities and many times
ridiculing and/or ostracizing those who
desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus. But 1
Samuel 16:7 tells us that “man looketh on the
outward appearance, but the LORD looketh
on the heart.” Also, Jesus said in Luke 16:15
