6y MC Pomeranian with chronic cough. The dog also has a marked peripheral eosinophilia. Image a is a representative view of the caudo-
dorsal lung field. Images b and c are representative 1 mm collimated CT images of the caudal thorax. Image d is a magnified view of
image c. A diffuse airway oriented pattern is present radiographically and defined by bronchial wall thickening and mildly increased pul-
monary opacity (a). Comparable features are present on CT images (b–d). Bronchoalveolar lavage cytology revealed moderate eosinophilic
and mild suppurative inflammation with epithelial hyperplasia, consistent with the diagnosis of eosinophilic bronchopneumopathy. No
microorganisms were detected, and microbial cultures were negative. The dog responded well following a course of steroid and cyclo-
sporine therapy.
