John Lind Member #15887
Nomination for position of secretary
I am a retired computer programmer who has been involved with motorcycles
for a long time. I rode a borrowed postie bike around the family backyard in
the late 1960s when backyards were big enough to do that. I bought my first
road bike in the early 1970s and have been riding and working on
motorcycles ever since. From that start, I have been without a car for more
time than I have been without a bike. I joined the Ulysses club while living in
Canberra more than 20 years ago. I moved to Newcastle in 2012 and have
been involved with the Newcastle Lower Hunter Branch since then, including
serving for a year as Treasurer and as a committee member for the last couple of years. I have
nominated for the position of Secretary in the coming year.

Nomination for position of Treasurer
Hello, my name is Mark Thomas. I have been a member of the Ulysses
Newcastle Lower Hunter Branch for five and half years and have been on the
committee for five years. I am married with one daughter, one granddaughter
and one dog. I am loving being retired after spending forty-one years in the
electricity industry. Other than riding motor bikes, my number one interest is
travelling with my wife. I also enjoy being a Radio Operator soon to be a
Watch Officer with Marine Rescue NSW Lake Macquarie Unit. My first
motor bike was a Honda TL125. I purchased my Triumph Bonneville new in
July, 2016. It’s the last of the air-cooled models. This year will my sixth year on the committee and
really looking forward to it

Nomination for position of Committee
I have been a member of this amazing Club since 1986 when I joined as a
Sydney sider. I became involved with the Sydney committee pretty early in
the piece, as a ride co-ordinator. In 1994 I joined the National Committee and
for five years was engaged in the purchasing of all Club paraphernalia. I
resigned that post in the year 2000. When I retired from work almost twenty
years ago, my wife Jennifer Rosewood who is also a Ulysses member and I,
