My first midweek ride opportunity in a while was going to happen and I even got my riding gear ready the night
before. I awoke to a very windy and chilly morning albeit with clear skies. Deciding to change my riding choice
in clothing and slip on the winter riding gear was a good idea with the temperature on the bike at 12°C.

Arriving at Freemans Waterhole, there were already a few riders (12 riders, one Trike and 2 in a tintop) waiting
out in the sun with some holding cups of coffee to drink as well as warm hands. I approached the ride leader
and suggested an alternative route to get to Yarramalong Road to which he agreed and as he was not sure of
the route, it was suggested I lead to morning tea. 9.45am we started up and headed off heading down
Freemans Drive to Cooranbong. I then lead everyone down Deaves Road and turned right onto Mandalong
Road which is now bitumen all the way to Dooralong and has nice twisties through the bush. At Dooralong we
turned left onto Jilliby Rd and headed to Hue Hue Rd where we followed the normal route to Kulnura via
    Bumble Hill.

Arriving at Jerry’s Cafe, a few
Historic bikes were there for us
to feast our eyes over as we
    consumed coffee and
    compared stories in the sun,
warming us up in the process.
We had 5 riders leave us at
Jerry’s to head home and in
    other directions and the
    remaining riders and tin top
    passengers moved off and
rode on towards Kariong via Peats Ridge following the old highway stopping a couple of times to make sure
Kens Top Box was still attached to the bike due to a home-made repair to the mount. In the end it was placed
into the boot of the support car tailing us. (maybe Ken knew something to have Jen drive the support vehicle
    today).

At Kariong we turned towards Woy Woy and were given the scenic tour or Ettalong and Booker Bay by out
intrepid and well travelled ride leader till we eventually turned up at Ettalong Diggers. Our lunches were served
                                                                                           quickly and there were no
