reminiscence of life
before covid

t’s true what they say, that you never know
what you have until it’s gone. I am certain
that I can speak for all of us when I say that we
have understood this statement more than
ever during this pandemic. It is astound-
ing how the world has turned upside down
within a few months and how the whole
world is confined within their own houses.
In my personal opinion, Coronavirus has
drastically changed our lifestyle, the way we
think , the way we act and the way we behave.
Exuberant moments like traveling, going
on a picnic , meeting family and friends or
just hanging out with your loved ones in a
public place are nothing more than an ex-
ceptional bundle of memories that I wish
I could relive. How delightful those days
were when I didn’t have to worry about
standing exactly 6 feet away from a per-
son or when I could freely hug my friends
and family. Wearing masks and using hand
sanitizers were personal preference then
Ibut now these are absolute necessities.
Before the world flipped around, children went to school, got to spend
time with friends laughing, gossiping and all the lively things one could
do physically. We used to experience the highs and lows of school
life, and had the opportunity to enjoy the stunning school occa-
sions with a lot of fun and joy. The special connection between a stu-
dent and their teachers while meeting physically was a special and joy-
ful one that can not be replicated in the zoom meetings we attend today.
As someone once famously said, “There is always a light at the end of the
tunnel.” Even though our lives before covid was marvelous, our time
indoors has been surprisingly beneficial. I am sure this pandemic has
undeniably brought some positive changes in our lives too. This dif-
ficult time will also come to an end as everything does and hopefully we
can slowly but surely go back to that normal lifestyle we all once had.
