Temporary Dwelling, Everlasting Promise
ter Turtle were married, becoming one in the flesh. God
blessed them to have a beautiful family of five little turtles
and very successful careers. Pastor Tortoise made both
Brother and Sister Turtle pastors over the congregation of
turtles God had entrusted to him. A year after that, Pas-
tor Tortoise passed away. Brother and Sister Turtle did the
will of God and took excellent care of the flock of God
for the remaining time they were here on earth. They
raised their children up in the community of the Lord,
and their children did the same, and their children’s chil-
dren. Pastor Brother and Sister Turtle went home to be
with the Lord Almighty. They left the ministry to one of
their sons and his wife, who was sold out for Jesus.
The Morale of the Story

enough to attempt to have God and the world. Instead,
it is given to and won by those that endure, with the help
of Jesus Christ, to the finish line. We see two examples
from the man of God what we should and should not
be doing. I pray that we pay attention to both exam-
ples and learn from Brother Rabbit’s bad decision mak-
ing and take heed to Brother Turtle’s excellent decision
making. Selah.

house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be
clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
