He had slowly fallen into a backslidden state. He
started committing the act of fornication and surround-
ing himself with the wrong kind of communication. He
was drifting further and further away from his faith. The
other rabbits tried contacting him, but he would screen
their calls. Some of them even stopped by his home.
However, he would not answer the door for them. The
relationship he had with his lady rabbit friend became
stronger and more intense as the weeks went by. He
had made her the focus of his attention and put God
on the backburner. What Brother Rabbit did not know
about his female rabbit friend was that she had a sexu-
ally transmitted disease she never thought to mention to
him. Over time, Brother Rabbit started getting sick and
ended up passing away from the disease. All the while,
the female rabbit was still living out her life.
Brother Turtle finally made it to the last hurdle of
keeping his eyes on the prize. He was now in the lead
and continued to pace himself to the finish line. His love
for the Lord became stronger, as well as his affection
and love for Sister Turtle.
After some years of dating, Brother Turtle planned
a surprise proposal for Sister Turtle. He had spoken with
Pastor Tortoise about it and got everything prepared for
the day.
Pastor Tortoise approved everything and even in-
sisted that they hold the wedding at the church, free of
charge.
On the day Pastor Tortoise finished ministering his
sermon titled, ‘Marriage Matters,’ he asked Brother Tur-
tle to come forward as planned. Brother Turtle nervously
walked up to the pulpit and took the microphone from
Pastor Tortoise. Clearing his throat, he proudly asked Sis-
ter Turtle to come up to the pulpit with him. She blushed
nervously as she made her way up. There were whispers
