Temporary Dwelling, Everlasting Promise
as she planted a soft kiss on his cheek and walked out.
Rabbit sat back and smiled happily as his ears steadily
twisted themselves about.
“I’m coming,” the female rabbit said as she heard
her doorbell ring. She opened the door, and to her sur-
prise, Brother Rabbit was standing there holding a dozen
white velvets. Her heart pounded in excitement.
“For you,” he said, handing them to her. She told
him thank you as she leaned in to smell the velvets. She
hugged rabbit as he returned the embrace. After a
moment, they let go. She invited Brother Rabbit into her
home.
“What’s the name of that cologne?” she asked, “it
smells so good.”
Rabbit blushed a little and replied, “It’s called Bugs
Bunny for men. What about you? What’s the name of
that perfume you’re wearing?” She smiled and said she
was wearing Bugs Bunny for women.
“Wow, so much in common,” They both said at the
same time, laughing. She asked if he was hungry as she
headed to the dining room to set up everything.
“I’m starving,” Brother Rabbit said, rubbing his stom-
ach.
The female rabbit finished setting everything up.
“Good, let’s eat,” she said as she sat down. They en-
joyed a nice candlelit dinner with a bottle of carrot wine
on ice. Brother Rabbit blessed the food. The female rab-
bit popped opened the bottle.
“Care for some,” she asked as she poured herself a
glass.
“Just a little bit,” he said tapping the top of the glass.
He felt a little conviction and knew within that it wasn’t
a good idea. He took a bite of the carrot salad, compli-
menting her on how delicious the salad was.
“Thank you,” she said.
After finishing their meal, the female rabbit invited
Brother Rabbit into the living room to relax.
