Temporary Dwelling, Everlasting Promise

began playing in the background, the female rabbit
yelled out, “That’s my song!” She got up to go to the
dance floor. “Come on, dance with me, Brother Rab-
bit.” He stood up and followed her to the dance floor,
and they started dancing together. “I didn’t know you
could dance,” the CEO said as he joined in with them.
Before they knew it, everyone was on the floor danc-
ing. Brother Rabbit and his female colleague continued
            dancing.
Brother Turtle picked up his pace as he ap-
proached his hurdle of evil communications fairly quick-
ly. He, too, was invited to the get-together by the CEO
of his job, but he kindly refused the offer. Instead, Brother
Turtle put together his own get-together party with the
body of Christ. They enjoyed a delicious meal of rabbit
stew while Brother Turtle gave a short exhortation. After-
ward, the saints danced, cheered, and celebrated with
gospel and Christian soft rock music. They sang every
word of Toby Mac’s ‘move’ song loudly. They enjoyed
board games, conversations and simply just had a blast.
Winding down, everyone gave a word of encourage-
ment, testified proudly of what God has done, and bold-
ly proclaimed the good news of Jesus Christ.
Brother Rabbit was starting to lose his wind and
stamina and barely kept his lead on Brother Turtle. He
approached the sixth hurdle, which was the hurdle of
temptations. “do you have anything planned for Sat-
urday night?” the female rabbit asked Brother Rabbit
as he was going through some paperwork on his desk.
“Ummm,” he said, caught off guard, “as a matter of fact,
I don’t.” She smiled. “dinner at my place? I can make
a mean carrot salad,” she said. “That would be awe-
some,” Brother Rabbit said as he finished fiddling with the
papers on his desk. “Fine, how about eight o’clock?” she
asked. He nodded as he told her that would be wonder-
ful. The female rabbit strolled to where rabbit was sitting.
“Okay, here’s my address. See you Saturday,” she said
