Temporary Dwelling, Everlasting Promise
“Care for any more wine,” she asked.
“Some,” he replied as she poured her and then him
some more wine. She found a romantic movie on Net-
flix to watch as she settles cozily up under Brother Rab-
bit. They allowed the night to take its course. During the
middle of the film, the wine started to take full course of
their emotions, sending their minds into a sensual state
of intoxication.
The female rabbit made the first move by attempt-
ing to kiss Brother Rabbit. He could not resist her irresis-
table touch and found himself pressing his lips close to
hers. One thing led to another, and before they knew it,
they were engaged in fornication. Overcome by temp-
tation, they ended up falling asleep in each other’s arms.
Brother Turtle ended up taking a slight lead on
Brother Rabbit. He approached his hurdle of temptation.
He finally built up enough confidence to ask for Sister Tur-
tle’s phone number.
“In conclusion,” Pastor Tortoise said, “whenever
we seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteous-
ness, everything that we need will be added into our
lives. This includes healing, peace, happiness, healthy,
strong marriage, a happy family, wealth, and even a
stronger desire to hold on to God’s unchanging hand.
Let’s stand and give a genuine round of applause.” The
congregation praised God Almighty.
After the applause ceased, Pastor Tortoise gave
the aftercall. “There may be one here tonight that don’t
know Jesus. Yes, you’ve heard of him and what he has
done, but you haven’t yet made a choice to accept
him into your heart as your king of kings, and Lord of
Lords. If that’s you tonight, please come to the altar and
allow us to put you in touch with him.”
Some of the congregation clapped as two female
turtles and a mom turtle made their way up to the altars.
While the minister turtles were praying with them, Pastor
Tortoise asked if there were any others that may have
