“What do you think the outcome will be?” “We’re
trusting God for a great outcome,” Adriana said.
“Is there a name that you young ladies call yourselves?”
the reporter asked.
“Youth Disciples for Christ,” Samaria replied.
“That’s enough with the questions,” Mayor Bartley said as
her security team surrounded her and the young ladies. The
young ladies made their way outside as the students were
marching back in front of the governor’s office.
The Good News
‘We want prayer’ continued to ring all over downtown
Tallahassee. The crowd had already reached almost two thou-
sand and was made up of every age, race, and background.
“Katey, Adriana, the governor is calling,” Samaria said as she
picked up her phone.
Just then, Mayor Bartley’s limo arrived. The driver opened
the limo door for the girls to get inside. The girls, along with
mayor Bartley, proceeded into the mayor’s limousine.
“Sorry, Governor Jackson, we couldn’t hear you be-
cause of the chanting.” Samaria said.
The governor chuckled. “God did it,” he announced.
“prayer will remain in school.”
The girls screamed while crying and giving praise to
God almighty. After celebrating, crying, and giving God all
the praise, the young ladies stepped out of the limousine and
walked to the steps of the governor’s office. Once the girls
were observed by the crowd, the students stopped chant-
ing. “The courts have made a decision!” Adriana announced.
“Prayer will be kept in our schools!” the young ladies shouted
out at the same time.
The students went wild. They erupted in joy, lifting their
hands and giving God all the praise, glory, and honor, just as
