ters, and there has not been one fight. Also, there hasn’t been
any bullying going on. If you take prayer out of school, you
can expect the percentage of fighting and bullying to go up
to an all time high.”
Samaria began to interject. “The second reason why
we believe prayer should remain in our schools is that prayer
leaves open an opportunity for salvation. “One of the results,”
she continued, of our having prayer in the morning, at lunch-
time, and after school, is that we’ve had the opportunity to
lead several students to Christ during our prayer circles.”
“The third reason why I believe and know that prayer
should be kept in school is that broken and abusive homes
are mending back together, and the abuse is no longer in
the homes,” Katey said. Many of our peers have come to our
prayer circle, hurting, crying, shattered into pieces, and we
pray with them, encourage them, express our love to them,
and trust God with them that he will touch their families. As a
result of us praying with them and trusting God with them, mir-
acles are created in their homes.”
“The fourth reason why we believe and know that prayer
in school should remain is that it keeps the teachers pleasant,”
Adriana said. “We’ve had some of the nicest, friendliest and
wonderful teachers that we could ever have.”
The young ladies smiled.
“There have been many teachers that have attended
our prayer circles because they had issues of their own going
on in their homes, and they came and told us, prayer chang-
es things. Take prayer away,” Adriana continued, and we will
see a drastic change in the attitudes of our teachers. We must
know that our teacher’s home environment affects our school
environment.”
“The fifth reason why we believe and know that prayer
should be kept in schools is that prayer helps students make
