Will the Real Christians Stand Up Will the Real Christians Stand Up
“Once the idols and paganisms were dispersed, God
showed himself faithful and delivered his word, which was his
instructions for humankind, to King Josiah. This illustrates just
how challenging it is to hear from God when we have idols
and distractions before us. Even the call from God to repent
will cease if we do not adhere and turn away from those wick-
ed ways. King Josiah desired to learn more about a book that
was brought to him by one of his servants, so he sent one of
his servants to a prophetess named Huldah to learn what God
was saying. Notice, I didn’t say a prophet, I said a prophetess.
God allowed a woman to speak to King Josiah concerning his
word. So that cancels out the argument concerning what a
woman should and should not be doing in the church. God
can use anyone who is a willing vessel. So we see that proph-
etess Huldah sends back instructions to Josiah as to what God
is saying for the people to be doing based on the book. King
Josiah adheres to God’s commands and starts implementing
God’s instructions in the land of Jerusalem and Judah.
“And as a result, Jerusalem, Judah, and all of Isra- el
start doing the will of God. I believe in this day and age, God is
raising up some Josiahs. In other words, he’s rais- ing up peo-
ple that want to know the will of God and want his will to be
implemented on this earth. Do I have any Josiahs in the house
today?” The congregation stood to their feet and started ap-
plauding and praising God. “Do I have anybody in here
today that doesn’t mind taking a bold stand for righteousness
as Josiah did? And do I have anybody that will stand in the
middle of opposition and speak the truth?”
The congregation started applauding.
