“Oh, and great punch,” Steven jested while he contin-
ued to mock the Sergeant. “And from all the people in the
world, a woman”, imitating the voice of Drill Sergeant Miller.
They both laughed intensely.
Katey at School
“May I have a minute with you, sir?” Katey asked her
professor.
“Sure, how can I help you, young lady?”
“I received an F on my college midterm exam, and I was
wondering why. I studied very hard for that test, and I knew
most of the answers. I can’t see why I got an F.”
“The answers that you gave were wrong,” her professor
said.
“Well, is there any way I can see the answers?”
“Let’s just say that grade will remain as is,” her professor
said as he stood up from his desk and walked out of his class,
leaving Katey with a look of disappointment on her face.
“God bless you too, Katey said.
As she entered the hallway, Katey could hear the sounds
of laughter along the halls, joined with exciting conversations
and shouts. “Katey, come quick,” her roommate Jennifer said.
“You’re on the news.”
The two girls gathered with three others who surrounded
a wafer-thin like cell phone. They were joined by a couple of
faculty members who were curious about the small crowd.
They all listened to the broadcaster as he announced to his
listeners breaking news.
“We’ve been continuing to follow the story of
three bold young ladies that stood up and started a march
for prayer to stay inside our public schools. Adriana Sanchez,
