This is the end of the 1960’s and the next stage is when

“IT’S A RUM LIFE” Book Three
               Ivy House 1970 to 1984

All the problems that go with the Westmoreland Slate roof
blowing off in the first winter, coping with the new threat,
“Inflation” and how ECYB is recreated and eventually becomes
a lorry “fleet” to take us forward into the 1980’s.

There are over 40 individual stories of “incidents”, life and
work in the small village community of New Bolingbroke.
Some very amusing, some deadly serious.

Horses come into our lives for the first time, a Flower
festival brightens up the community life. I take my HGV driving
test... eventually and manage to stop a police patrol car once
again on the seven mile straight, but this time by creating my
            own fog blanket.
